A virtual card you can use the moment you open your account, and a physical metal card for the world in front of you.
Every Sezvo account comes with cards built for the way people actually spend — online, in person, abroad, and through your phone. Your virtual card is created the instant your account is opened, so there is no waiting for plastic in the post before you can pay for something. Your physical metal card follows in the post, reassuringly heavy in the hand and accepted anywhere cards are taken.
Both cards draw from the same multi-currency balance, and both answer to the same controls in the app. Whether you reach for the metal card at a till or tap your phone, the limits, toggles and security settings you have chosen apply consistently. There is no separate “online card” to manage or a second PIN to remember — one account, one place to control how money leaves it.
You can hold and spend in 28 currencies, and your cards automatically draw from the matching balance when you have one. Pay for a coffee in euros from your euro balance, settle a hotel bill in dollars from your dollar balance, and only convert when you genuinely need to. When a conversion is required, it happens transparently at a clear rate, with no surprise mark-ups buried in the small print.
Spin up a fresh card for a subscription, a one-off purchase, or a merchant you do not entirely trust.
Virtual cards are the quiet workhorses of a modern account. The first one is ready the moment you sign up, and you can create more whenever you like from the Cards screen. Each has its own number, expiry date and security code, completely separate from your physical card, so a leak in one place never exposes everything.
Common ways people use virtual cards:
- Subscriptions. Give each streaming service, gym or software tool its own card, so cancelling is as simple as deleting the card — no more chasing a renewal you forgot about.
- One-off or unfamiliar merchants. Use a single-purpose card for a shop you are trying for the first time, then freeze or delete it once the order has arrived.
- Free trials. Set a low limit on a dedicated card so a “free” trial cannot quietly bill you the full amount later.
- Shared services. Keep household bills on one card and personal spending on another, so your statement reads cleanly without any mental sorting.
Because virtual cards live entirely in the app, you can add them to Apple Pay or Google Pay and start tapping straight away. Lose track of where a number has ended up? Freeze that single card and the rest of your account carries on untouched.
Add a card to your wallet in seconds and leave the plastic at home.
Both your virtual and physical cards work with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Add a card from the app in a couple of taps and you can pay with your phone or watch right away — useful the moment you open your account, well before the metal card reaches your door.
Mobile wallet payments use device tokenisation, which means the merchant never sees your real card number. A unique device number stands in for it, and each transaction is authorised with Face ID, Touch ID, a fingerprint or your device passcode. It is one of the safest ways to pay in person, and it is built in at no extra cost.
The physical metal card supports contactless for fast taps at the till, and falls back to chip and PIN for larger amounts or when a terminal asks for it. Every now and then a terminal will request your PIN even on a small contactless purchase — that is a routine security check built into the card networks, not a fault with your card.
The controls that turn a card from a liability into a tool you are fully in charge of.
Card control should be instant, and it should be in your hands — not stuck behind a phone queue. From the Cards screen you can manage exactly how, where and how much each card is allowed to spend.
- Freeze and unfreeze. One tap stops a card from being used and another brings it straight back to life. If you have simply misplaced the metal card around the house, freeze it while you look, then unfreeze it when it turns up — no replacement, no fuss.
- Per-card limits. Set daily or monthly spending caps on each card. Keep a tight limit on a card you use for online shopping and a higher one on your everyday card.
- Online and ATM toggles. Switch online payments, contactless, magnetic-stripe payments and cash withdrawals on or off independently. Travelling somewhere you will only pay in person? Turn online payments off entirely.
- Location-based controls. Restrict where a card can be used, so a card you only use at home will not work if a number is skimmed and tried elsewhere.
Every change takes effect immediately, and you get a clear, real-time notification each time a card is used, declined or changed. If something looks wrong, freezing the card takes one tap before you have even finished reading the alert.
Your full card number, expiry and CVV, available the instant you need them.
There is no need to dig out a piece of plastic to copy a long number across. Your full card details — number, expiry date and security code — are available in the app whenever you need to enter them somewhere new.
Revealing your details is gated behind your device biometrics or passcode, and the sensitive numbers are masked until you ask for them. For added safety the on-screen details are hidden again after a short moment, and you can copy each field with a single tap rather than reading it aloud or leaving it on screen.
Virtual cards let you regenerate a fresh number if you ever feel one has been over-shared, while your physical card details stay stable for the subscriptions you trust. Either way, the real numbers never travel further than they need to.
What to do in the moment, and how a replacement reaches you.
If a card goes missing, the first and most important step is always the same: open the app and freeze it. That stops any new transactions immediately. If the card has clearly been stolen or its details compromised, mark it as lost or stolen so it is permanently cancelled and can never be reactivated.
You are never left without a way to pay in the meantime. Issue a fresh virtual card from the same screen, add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay, and keep spending while a new physical card is on its way. Ordering a replacement metal card takes a few taps, and it ships to your registered address.
If you spot a transaction you do not recognise, freeze the card and report it through in-app support, available 24/7. We will help you secure the account and walk you through a dispute or chargeback where one applies. Acting quickly — freezing first, asking questions second — is the single best thing you can do to limit any loss.
Strong authentication on online payments, working quietly in the background.
Online card payments are protected by 3-D Secure, the industry standard for strong customer authentication. When a checkout supports it, you confirm the payment in the Sezvo app with your biometrics or passcode — no codes texted to a SIM that could be hijacked, and nothing to type out and mistype.
Behind the scenes, every transaction is monitored for patterns that do not fit your normal behaviour. If something looks unusual — a payment in a country you are not in, or a sudden run of attempts — we may step in, ask you to confirm, or pause the card to keep your money safe. You will always be told what happened and why.
Card data is handled to the highest payment-industry security standards, sensitive numbers are tokenised wherever possible, and your real card number is never shared with merchants when you pay through a mobile wallet. Security here is not a single feature; it is layered through the whole experience so you rarely have to think about it.
Earn on everyday spending, and pay like a local wherever you are.
Depending on your plan, eligible card spending earns cashback, paid back to your account automatically. Higher plans earn at a higher rate and unlock the metal card, so the more you put through your everyday spending, the more the plan tends to pay for itself. You can see exactly what you have earned in the app, with no points to redeem or hoops to jump through.
For travel, the multi-currency account is the quiet advantage. Hold and spend in 28 currencies, and your card draws from the matching balance when you have one — so a meal in euros comes straight out of your euro balance with no conversion at all. When you do need to convert, you get a clear rate rather than the inflated tourist rate so many cards quietly apply.
- Spend in over 160 countries, anywhere cards are accepted.
- Withdraw cash abroad, with ATM access you can toggle on only when you need it.
- Top up balances before a trip to lock in the amount you will spend in a given currency.
- Get instant notifications on every transaction, so you always know what a foreign charge actually cost.
Fees vary by plan, and the specifics — including any allowances on fee-free ATM withdrawals and weekend conversion rates — are set out plainly on the pricing page and in your plan terms, so there are no surprises when the statement lands.

Common questions.
- How fast can I start using a card?
- Your virtual card is issued the moment your account is opened. Add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and you can pay in person or online straight away — long before your physical metal card arrives in the post.
- What is the difference between a virtual and a physical card?
- A virtual card lives entirely in the app with its own number, expiry and security code, ideal for online payments and mobile wallets. The physical metal card is for paying in person by tap or chip and PIN. Both draw from the same balance and obey the same controls — limits, freezes and toggles apply to both.
- Can I freeze a card if I misplace it?
- Yes. Open the Cards screen and tap Freeze to stop the card being used immediately. If it simply turns up down the back of the sofa, tap Unfreeze and carry on. There is no need to order a replacement just because a card is temporarily lost around the house.
- How do I set limits and turn off online or ATM payments?
- Every card has its own controls. From the Cards screen you can set daily and monthly spending limits and switch online payments, contactless, magnetic-stripe payments and ATM cash withdrawals on or off independently. Changes take effect immediately.
- How do I see my full card details?
- Tap to reveal your card in the app and confirm with your device biometrics or passcode. Your full number, expiry and CVV are shown masked until you ask for them, you can copy each field with one tap, and the details hide again after a short moment for safety.
- What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
- Freeze the card first to stop any new transactions, then mark it as lost or stolen to cancel it permanently. Issue a fresh virtual card from the same screen so you can keep paying, and order a replacement physical card to your registered address. If you see a transaction you do not recognise, contact 24/7 in-app support and we will help you secure the account.
- Is online card spending protected?
- Yes. Online payments use 3-D Secure, which you confirm in the Sezvo app with your biometrics or passcode rather than a code sent over SMS. Transactions are also monitored for unusual patterns, and we may pause a card or ask you to confirm a payment if something looks out of the ordinary.
- Do Sezvo cards work with Apple Pay and Google Pay?
- Both virtual and physical cards work with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Add a card from the app in a couple of taps and pay with your phone or watch. Mobile wallet payments are tokenised, so the merchant never sees your real card number.
- How does cashback work?
- On eligible plans, qualifying card spending earns cashback that is paid back to your account automatically — no points to redeem. Higher plans earn at a higher rate and include the metal card. You can see exactly what you have earned in the app, and the rates are set out on the pricing page.
- Can I use my card abroad without big conversion fees?
- Your account holds and spends in 28 currencies, and your card draws from the matching balance when you have one, so there is no conversion at all on spending in a currency you already hold. When a conversion is needed you get a clear rate, and you can toggle ATM withdrawals on only when you need cash. Plan-specific fees and any fee-free allowances are detailed on the pricing page.
- How many virtual cards can I create?
- You can create multiple virtual cards from the Cards screen — one per subscription, one for unfamiliar merchants, one for household bills, however suits you. Each is independent, so freezing or deleting one never affects the others or your physical card.
- Who issues Sezvo cards and is my money safe?
- Cards and accounts are provided by UAB Aušra Pay, a licensed electronic money institution authorised and supervised by the Bank of Lithuania and passporting across the EEA. Customer funds are safeguarded in line with EMI rules. Sezvo is an e-money institution rather than a traditional bank, so safeguarding works differently from a bank deposit; where the deposit guarantee scheme applies, eligible deposits are protected up to €100,000.
